Product Description

The DeepSleep stands out in the 3D mat range for its minimal pack size and weight. It is the perfect companion for base camp, the campsite or a campervan.

Thanks to its special 3D construction, it provides the largest possible sleeping surface. The core of the DeepSleep consists of 7.5 cm thick foam, ensuring the best possible sleeping comfort. The surface is made from 75 D polyester for a comfortable feel against the skin.

The DeepSleep is self-inflating. The EXPED Top Up Pump to assist with inflation and a repair patch are included. Inflating and deflating is made easy by the two flat valves. A large stuff sack is included for easy packing.

R-value is a measure of thermal resistance. It indicates the efficiency of insulation by measuring its resistance to heat transfer. The higher the number, the slower the rate of heat transfer through an insulation.

In EXPED sleeping mats, higher R-values help sleepers retain the heat their bodies generate and the result is the pleasant and sometimes elusive condition called warmth.

Good to know: ISO-rated sleeping bags are tested with 7R mats. EXPED recommends using a sleeping mat with an R-Value of at least 6.5 or higher to ensure your sleeping bag provides the warmth it is rated for.
