Product Description
The MegaMat Auto is specially designed for vehicles. Its shape, with recesses on the sides, makes it the perfect mat for sleeping in the car.
Like the other mats in the MegaMat range, the MegaMat Auto is made from 10 cm thick, open-cell foam. This not only ensures optimum sleeping comfort, but also provides ideal insulation from below. The 3D construction creates the largest possible sleeping surface. Horizontal air channels in the foam help to reduce weight and pack size without compromising on comfort. The surface, made from soft tricot polyester, ensures a comfortable sleeping experience.
The MegaMat Auto features two separate flat valves on either side for quick inflation and deflation. Using the attached valve pin, the firmness of the mat can be adjusted during the night by gently releasing a little air. The mat is self-inflating. The desired firmness can be adjusted using the Top Up Pump supplied. A handy Sidewinder Bag allows for quick and easy packing. A repair kit is also included in the scope of delivery.

All EXPED textile products are made without intentionally added PFAS since 2025. We work closely with suppliers and perform independent tests to ensure our products contain zero PFAS.
5 years years on defects in materials and workmanship
R-value is a measure of thermal resistance. It indicates the efficiency of insulation by measuring its resistance to heat transfer. The higher the number, the slower the rate of heat transfer through an insulation.
In EXPED sleeping mats, higher R-values help sleepers retain the heat their bodies generate and the result is the pleasant and sometimes elusive condition called warmth.
Good to know: ISO-rated sleeping bags are tested with 7R mats. EXPED recommends using a sleeping mat with an R-Value of at least 6.5 or higher to ensure your sleeping bag provides the warmth it is rated for.
We recommend storing the rolled-out mat with both valves open in a dry, cool place, such as under the bed.
We recommend cleaning the mat with warm water and a mild detergent (no bleach!). Carefully clean the mat with a cloth or soft sponge. Make sure all valves are completely closed. Rinse well. The mat should be allowed to air dry after cleaning. DO NOT put your mat in a washing machine or dryer.

Not suitable for children under the age of three. Choking hazard as the product is impermeable to air and contains small parts that can be swallowed.
Warning Repair Kit
The glue in the repair kit contains solvents and is flammable! Keep it away from open flames and heat sources! Use the adhesive only in well-ventilated areas and avoid contact with skin, eyes, and mucous membranes! In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical advice if irritation persists. Store the adhesive out of reach of children in a cool, dry place!
